Samantha Arbelo

Samantha Arbelo is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais PractitionerCM, licensed massage therapist, and certified Pilates instructor. She graduated Educating Hands School of Massage in 2010, was certified in IMX Pilates in 2011, and graduated from Seattle Eastside Feldenkrais® professional training in 2021.

In 2012 Samantha began teaching in physical therapy settings focusing on one to one Pilates for post-rehabilitation patients. In support of her post rehab training she completed over 100 hours of continuing education in active and isolated stretching, aquatic massage, the Trager® Approach and neurofascial patterning and muscular functions.

In 2017 Samantha began professional training in the Feldenkrais Method®. Her interest in Feldenkrais began with her own struggle with back pain. During childhood she suffered from severe discomfort in her lower back which led to pain in her legs. With the help of the Feldenkrais Method she learned how to become a better mover and to re-pattern negative habits that caused chronic pain. Samantha’s healing was her inspiration to share Feldenkrais with her own clients. She teaches how to maneuver comfortably and easily in different settings, whether sitting all day, walking or running.

In a Feldenkrais lesson one learns how to align one’s body in a way that naturally eases chronic tension, enabling better movement. Daily activities feel better, performance is improved, and injuries are prevented. Whether it is Pilates or Feldenkrais, Samantha always addresses functionality in her sessions. She observes what movements her clients need to refine and she develops building blocks that lead them to reach their goals.
